This project required to film a live-action footage with handheld camera movement to composite 3D object by using Boujou. The footage was taken at Cornwall Park of Mount Eden in Auckland. The main purpose of this project was to test compositing for my final year project.
The ACES

The final VFX project on my second year at Digital Design. The main goal of this project was to use combinations of VFX techniques, including particle effects, rotoscoping, keying out, and 3D camera, to create an aritificial movie trailer.
Decision

The final project on my second year at Digital Design. It was the very first attempt of compositing 3D character onto live action footage. The most challenging part of this project was grading each shots identically after compositing. I have learned how to use HDRI image in Maya to replicate the realistic lighting in the virtual space.

This project was to create a matte-painting from my personal photography taken at Mt Cook. The image was projected in 3D space of Maya to convincingly visualize camera movement.
THE EYES
2014
THE EYES is a story of a young teenager, Vince, who learns the truth about both the forest and his seemingly trustworthy friend, Fred. This project aims to make a composite a of a motion captured CG character onto a live action footage to deliver a monster horror film that deals with modern society. Additionally, thorough research has been done with cinematography techniques, including lighting, color grading, camera angles and sound editing to enhance the atmosphere of horror.
